Barbara McMaster Funk

Barbara Funk of Columbia passed away October 18, 2024 at the age of 83.

Born in West Chester PA, she was the daughter of the late Lemuel N. and Catherine Quinn McMaster.  She was a 1960 graduate of S. Horace Scott High School, Coatesville, PA.

After high school she attended hair dressing school and worked in a variety of capacities at her uncle's diners.  Following many years of home making and temporary administrative positions with Manpower, she had a second career working as a returns expeditor at QVC, retiring in 2004. She enjoyed knitting, reading, and following politics and is widely known among family and friends as an exceptional cook.

She is survived by her sister Mary Catherine (Kay) Swiech, of Hazelton, daughter Kathy Zimmerman (Nathan), son Ashley Dissinger, step-daughter Deborah Andes, (John): grandchildren Kayla Klessinger (Kyle) and Eric Dissinger (Sadira), Tamara Trout; great grandchildren Khloe and Kellan Klessinger and Aaron Dissinger and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother Lemuel McMaster Jr., husbands Merlin Funk and Aaron Dissinger.

She will be interred at Indiantown Gap. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
