“Share memories over a cup of tea, hug someone today for me”

Betty Jo Grissinger , 79, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 3, 2026.  Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter or the late Joseph and Beatrice Murray.

She was married to George Grissinger Sr. for 63 years. A homemaker, she enjoyed reading, needlework, puzzles and cooking.  She was especially good at homemade chicken pot pie and ham and bean soup.  Her oven stuffing balls were a favorite when she hosted family Christmas dinner. She loved Christmas. She was also the best Phillies fan.

Betty Jo was “Mom” to Lori (Jeff) Mahoney and Kevin (Pamela) Grissinger; “Nanny” to Amanda (Mark) Fisher, Daniel (Rachel) and Ryan Mahoney; Hunter (Erin), Isabel, her buddy Chase, Merideth, Grant and Archer Grissinger, “More Nanny” to Mary Jo, Aaron and Grace Fisher; “Aunt Sissy” to Jen, Cammie and Little Pat (deceased). Betty Jo will be met in Heaven by her son Georgie (13).

Per her wishes, there will be no services.

If desired, contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital ( St.Jude.org ) would honor her love for children.
