IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Borden William
Dolly
June 20, 1942 – May 10, 2025
**Obituary for Borden "Bill" William Dolly, Jr.** It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Borden "Bill" William Dolly, Jr., who left this world on May 10, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on June 20, 1942, in Flintstone, MD, Bill was a dynamic presence in the lives of his family and friends, leaving behind a legacy filled with laughter, love, and a shared passion for all things automotive. Bill was the beloved son of Borden W. Dolly Sr. and Anna Mae Ott Dolly Range. He is survived by his cherished partner, Marie Ziegler, his son Bruce W. Dolly (Kim), along with his granddaughters Rene A. Dolly and Lydia M. Grunden (Chris), and his great-granddaughter Hannah M. Grunden. He also leaves behind his dear sisters, Donna Dolly and Janet Moser (John), as well as Hope Moser (Carl), who sadly preceded him in death. A passionate automotive enthusiast, Bill dedicated much of his career to automotive and truck sales, working at esteemed places like Wolf Motors, Keystone Ford, and Rivers Truck Center. His love for cars didn't only fuel his profession; it was also a spirited hobby that brought him joy. Bill was an active participant in 4x4 racing, automotive flea markets, and car shows. For him, cars were more than machines; they were a gateway to community, camaraderie, and competition. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bill's remarkable life on June 1, 2025, at 3:00 PM, at Ironville Community Park. This beautiful setting provides a perfect place for a casual gathering, complete with a pavilion, restrooms, and ample parking. Bill's beloved cars will be on display, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own vehicles to join in a heartfelt send-off. There will be plenty of time to share stories, reminisce, and enjoy a casual meal amidst the warm embrace of community. As we gather to honor Bill's memory, feel free to bring along a lawn chair, as there are plenty of picnic tables available to accommodate everyone. We look forward to sharing laughter and memories as we celebrate the wonderful life of our dear friend and family member—Bill, who will always be remembered for his big heart, quick wit, and unapologetic love for automobiles. In lieu of formal condolences, we invite you to share your favorite memories of Bill, as he would have loved nothing more than to hear them during this gathering of friends and family.
