Carl "Jake" Boyer

Born November 1, 1947, and left us on June 11, 2026.

The son of Robert and Sarah Boyer.

Preceded in death by his wife, Judy. Father of 3: Nicole Earnest, Elizabeth and Zach Boyer. Father-in-law to his buddy, Ken Earnest. Grandfather of 7: Ashlee, Kayley, Blake, Kayla, Evan, Noah and Austin. Great grandfather of Preston.

He was with Dale Lesperance for the last 8 years. She loved, laughed and enjoyed life with Jake and then fought the battles of illness together.

Jake was a writer, Managing Editor of a National Magazine, Underwater USA. A writer and editor of the Danville News, a reporter for Press Enterprise, and the author of The Daily Pith on Substack up until his passing. He took great pride in writing this Political Satire and had many daily readers.

He will be dearly missed.
