Carmella Mary Costanzo, 93, of Ephrata, PA passed away peacefully on April 19th, 2024 surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Carmella was born to Sebastian Nuzzi and his wife Madeline Nardelli, in Naples, Italy on July 13th, 1930. She immigrated to the United States in 1933 and became a naturalized citizen. Her family settled in the suburbs north of New York City.

Carmella was a full-time mother and worked as a seamstress in the Bronx, NY for many years. Carmella loved to cook, sew, visit family, have a glass of red wine, spoil her grandchildren, keep up her appearance, and, above all, she always placed her loved ones first and herself second. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

Carmella is predeceased by her husband James Costanzo, her daughter-in-law Sharon Costanzo, her sister Josephine Campanella, her brother Dominic Nuzzi and her son Michael Costanzo.

She is survived by her brother Joseph Nuzzi, her son John Costanzo, and her grandchildren John J. Costanzo, Jennifer Costanzo, Brian Costanzo, Michele Navarro and Greg Sylvia, along with a large extended family.

Carmella expressed wishes for a celebration of life as opposed to a traditional funeral. There will be a private event at the Belvedere Inn on May 18th, 2024. Carmella's family asks that anyone wishing to send flowers have them be sent to the Belvedere Inn.
