Christine Pipher passed away on January 4, 2023 at her Mount Joy residence after a long illness. She was only 70 years old. Chris is survived by her mother Barbara, her siblings & their spouses Steven Pipher; Michael & Donna Pipher; and Lori & John Weaver. Her memory lives on with her nieces and nephews; Julie & Ben, Keith & Jessica, Haley & Shawn, Nicholas, J. D. , Melissa, Zachary, Ashley, Ryan and Eric and great nieces and nephews; Maria, Julianna, Giovanni & Luciano. She is also survived by her aunt Millie, her cousins Tim, Jack, Jerilynn & Pam and their families. Chris was predeceased by her father Clarence 'Buck' Pipher, her grandparents Nannie-Lorraine & Pap-Pap Pipher, Grammy & Granddad Stettler, her great-grandparents Nanny & Pop Nevil, Grandma Pipher & Grampy and Nana Angle. She is also pre-deceased by her great uncle Roy, her great aunt Marguerite, her aunt Kathy, uncles Jerry & Bill and cousin Pete. From the time Chris was little she had a thirst for knowledge and often spent her spare time reading books. She had a life-time love of teaching that began with her first students, her family: Mike, Steve, Lori & Tim. Chris enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Eagles, Penn State Nittany Lions and was an avid New York Yankees fan. She was especially fond of Derek Jeter. Chris also loved all dogs but had a soft spot for Golden Retrievers. She took pleasure in our family parties, swimming, playing in the snow and hiking. Chris is also survived by her Golden Retriever, Jeter and her best friend, Marion who cared for Chris in her final days & for whom we are indebted & forever grateful. Chris loved her family fiercely. She was an amazing daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, colleague and friend. She touched the lives of so many people. She will be missed immeasurably and will never, ever, be forgotten. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Chris's name to Hospice & Community Care of Lancaster County or your local animal shelter/rescue. In accordance with Chris's wishes there will be no public service.
