Claire (Wucher) Schlyfestone , born on March 22, 1953, in Bellmore, New York, passed away on January 11, 2026, in Etters, Pennsylvania. She was 72 years old.

Claire’s life was marked by deep devotion to her family and a genuine love for the people around her. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Steve Schlyfestone; her daughters, Melissa Schlyfestone and Tara Schlyfestone; her brother Harold “Hap” Wucher and his wife Patricia “Pat” Wucher; and her sister Mary Genova. Claire was also a proud grandmother to Alexa Schlyfestone, Emma Sharp, Mikaela Harvey, and Trinity Harvey

She was preceded in death by her beloved sons, Keith and Michael Schlyfestone, as well as her parents.

Claire found great joy in her work and cherished the camaraderie she shared with her coworkers. Her warmth and sincerity left a lasting impression on those she encountered daily—especially the regulars who came to know not just her service but also her spirit. Her presence brought comfort and familiarity to many.
