Claude Leroy Bensinger, 83, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025. Born on September 3, 1942, he was the son of the late Woodrow Bensinger and Mildred Mimm. Claude grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and attended Lincoln High School. He later made his home in Marietta, Pennsylvania.

One of six children, Claude is survived by his sister Mary Fink and brothers Donald and Chester Bensinger. He is preceded in death by siblings Delores Smith and Robert Bensinger.

Claude was the devoted husband of the late Winnie Bensinger, who passed away in September 2025. Together, they built a loving family that meant everything to them.

He is survived by his three children: Claude Bensinger Jr. and wife Barbara, Rebecca Garman and husband Richard, and Richard Bensinger. Claude was a proud grandfather to Christina Chalas and husband Julio, Jeffrey Bensinger, Michael Bensinger, Kayla Treutle, and Jesse Bensinger and wife Heaven. He was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Layla and Killian Grant.

Claude was a member of the Baptist Church in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, where his faith and fellowship were important parts of his life.

He worked hard throughout his life and retired from Armstrong after many years of dedicated service. He enjoyed the simple pleasures—time spent with family, amusement parks, fishing, practicing karate, and sharing laughs over his favorite sitcoms. One of his greatest joys each year was watching the 4th of July fireworks at Broadkill Beach.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date at the family's discretion.

Claude will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
