Obituary

Cynthia Lee Frey, 86, of Lebanon, passed peacefully on March 6, 2021, after a brief illness. Born in Lancaster and raised in Maytown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Mervin and Pauline Witmer Brandt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands Harry Reynolds and Robert Frey and son-in-law James Zuercher. She graduated from East Donegal High School and went on to major in art at Kutztown University. There she forged friendships that lasted her lifetime. Cynthia graduated from a modeling school in Philadelphia and was encouraged to enter the Ephrata Scholarship Pageant. After success, there she went on to become Miss. Lancaster County and a finalist in the Miss Pennsylvania Pageant. Cynthia served as a tour guide for Brunswick Tours for many years and greatly enjoyed introducing travelers to her beloved Lancaster County. Her family and friends enjoyed her amusing stories of tour guiding. She was an accomplished soprano vocalist and was an active member of the Highland Presbyterian Church Choir. She found great joy in singing in their choir. She also sang with the Lancaster Symphony Chorus. Cynthia is survived by her daughter, Adrienne Zuercher, two step-sons; Michael and Doug Reynolds, grandchildren; Andrea Carper, James Zuercher, Katie Reynolds, Kelly Mayer, three great-grandchildren; a brother Barry Brandt husband of Trudy and nephew, Eric Brandt husband of Kim. Funeral services will be private; those wishing to honor her life may donate to Hospice or the Humane Society of Lebanon, Pa.
