Danny Lee Shellhaas

Danny Lee, Shellhaas, 83, of Lancaster, passed away at Lancaster General Hospital, on April 3, 2026. Born in Kane, PA to the late Ohmer H. and Lulabelle (Neeley) Shellhaas, he attended Roberts Wesleyan College and drove tractor trailer and tour buses in both the transportation and tourism industry for more than 50 years. He was the loving husband of Carole Lee (Fath) Shellhaas with whom he shared 44 years of marriage.

Danny was a devout Christian and talented musician who shared his faith through spoken word and music throughout his life. He was a founding member of the gospel group, The Spokesman, in the 1970s. The group traveled and recorded several albums. In addition, Danny and Carole traveled, performed gospel music, and recorded together in the 1980s.

Throughout his career, Danny ministered in church leadership and music in various churches throughout his life, including serving as Associate Pastor for First Free Methodist Church in Fort Collins, Co between 1986 – 1996.

In addition to his wife, Carole, Danny is survived by his daughter, Wendy Kiehl, and his son, Scott Shellhaas.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
