Edward Michael Wingel, 49, of Kinzers, passed away on September 28, 2025, at Lancaster Medical Center (Penn State Health) after a brief illness. Born in East Landsdown, PA to the late Charles and Elizabeth (Durning) Wingel, Edward served as a police officer for many years.

After he retired from the police department, he served as a truck driver. His most notable client was the Dave Matthews band. Edward also served as a volunteer firefighter and EMT. He loved everything hockey, a sport that he passionately played in high school. In addition, he was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Flyers.

He leaves behind his maternal aunt, Joyce Gillespie of Delaware, his paternal aunt, Patricia Wingel England, of Delaware, and his niece, Cheyenne Green of Plattsmouth, NE, as well as extended family, and many friends.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
