Emory L. Walton

Emory Leroy Walton, aged 91, passed into eternal rest on September 16, 2026, at the Gardens of Stevens Facility.

Born on April 3, 1935, in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of Joseph Franklin Walton and Stella Mae Striggle, and was preceded in death by his wife Doris Emma Moore Walton, siblings Ella M Schafer, John D Walton, Charles H Walton, Paul A Walton, Elmer F Walton & Levi M Walton. Emory was a man of quiet depth, faith in God and many skills.

He was greeted in heaven by his daughter Florence E. Walton, who preceded him in death. He leaves behind his daughters, Mary J. Bleecher and Alice M. Saufley. Emory's many talents, humor, and adventures continue through his seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who will carry his memory with them. Emory's life was a testament to his adaptability, courage, compassion, and unwavering love for his family. 

Emory was a Navy Veteran and supported his family through working at many Manufacturing and Physical Jobs in Lancaster County. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends, but they take solace in knowing he rests in peace and is reunited with his wife Doris of 70 years. The Walton family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all those who have shown their support during this difficult time. 

A service to honor Emory's life will be held at Willow Street Mennonite Church, 399 E Penn Grant Road, Willow Street, PA, on Friday, October 2nd at 10:30am, with a Intermit at Conestoga Memorial Park Grounds and Fellowship afterwards at Willow Street Mennonite Church.
