Ernesto “Papo” Perez-Rivera Sr. , 59, of Stevens, Pa, was called home to the Lord on December 26, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Born on April 7, 1966, Papo was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. His family was his whole world, and nothing mattered more to him than being present in the lives of those he loved.

He is survived by his loving mother, Nilda Rodriguez; his son, Ernesto Perez-Rivera Jr., husband of Jordon, and their two daughters, Journey and Kylee, who were his only grandchildren and his whole world; his daughter, Abby Perez; his sisters Ivette Diaz and her four children, Eunice Muniz and her four children, and Diana Molina, wife of Jose Molina, and their one child; along with great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved family members who held a special place in his heart.

For the past decade, Papo worked at Dormakaba, where he was known as a hardworking and dedicated employee.

Outside of work, Papo lived for riding his motorcycle. It was his passion and his freedom. One of his greatest joys was sharing that love with others, especially children, giving them rides and creating unforgettable memories filled with excitement and smiles.

Papo also loved dressing up as Santa, a role that brought him immense joy. Bringing laughter, joy, and a sense of magic to children was one of his favorite things and reflected the generous and playful spirit he carried throughout his life.

Above all else, Papo loved his family fiercely. He showed up for the people he loved and lived his life with loyalty, strength, and heart.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Neri and Moncha Rivera, and three aunts, Ana Jimenez, Maria Rodriguez, and Aurea Arce.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 3rd at 1:00 PM at Dirty Ol Tavern, 917 S Prince Street, Lancaster, PA 17603. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor his life.
