George Arthur Grissinger, Sr.

“Heaven just got another Schnickelfritz”

George A. Grissinger (83), passed away on Tuesday, August 18th, 2026, with his daughter Lori Mahoney by his side. He loved to talk to everyone he met. If he didn’t know you, you would know him by the time your encounter was over.

He was married to Betty Jo (Murray) for 63 years. He was Betty’s caregiver for the past 8 years, in which he gave his time and heart to her every single day. Betty passed on January, 3rd, 2026.

He retired in 2006 from Alcoa (Alumax) after 43 years of service. After retiring, he worked at Four Seasons golf course and Darrenkamps in Mt. Joy in the butcher department.

George enjoyed gardening and golf. He was an avid hunter and bowled in many leagues. He attended Wayside Presbyterian Church in Landisville for many years.

He will be met in Heaven by his son Georgie, Jr.
