George R. Potts, 94, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Oak Leaf Manor. Born on July 15, 1930, in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of the late Rodney and Mary (Spence) Potts. George married Charlotte (Stiehl) Potts in 1960.

He graduated from Manheim Township High School (1948) and Lancaster Business School.  A Veteran of the Korean War, George proudly served in the US. Army and was stationed in Nuremberg, Germany.

He worked in various accounting roles as Swiss Watch Technical, Jones and Laughlin Steel, Lancaster Country Tax Bureau, and Lumsden Corporation.  George was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Landisville, Pa, read the paper from cover to cover daily, enjoy watching the news, and volunteered at the election polls on election day.

George is survived by his children, Gary R. Potts (Kathryn) and Dawn E. Potts.  Proceeding him in death were his wife, Charlotte (Stiehl) Potts and brother, Lavern Croft.

A Celebration of George's life will be held at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 85 East Brandt Blvd, Landisville, PA on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 11:00 am with the Rev.
