Gerry Raber, 94, of Lititz, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Luther Acres.

Her life began in Souderton, PA, born to Abram and Bessie Landis.  She attended Goshen College in Goshen, IN, and went on to graduate with an RN degree from Grand View Hospital in Sellersville, PA.

In 1951, Gerry married Chester (Chet) A. Raber. They shared a love of reading and opera and traveled extensively. Gerry and Chet rode tandem bikes for 40 years in western national parks and in Europe as well as around Lancaster County. Gerry loved to swim and swam well into her 90s.

Gerry was a cherished sister, wife, mother, and grandmother and loved her family dearly. She had many long-term friendships with whom she enjoyed sharing books, music, travel, and ideas.

She will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Kris (Kevin) and 2 grandsons, Drew and Seth; one sister, Ruth Ann and a brother Lowell (Muriel).

Gerry was preceded in death by her husband, Chester, a son, Jon, and daughter-in-law, Kimiko Shimazaki.

A memorial will be planned at a later date.
