Grace L. Herr, 94, of New Providence died peacefully at her home on November 26, 2025. Born in 1931 in Drumore to the late Paul and Pearl (Quigley) Myers, she grew up on her family farm, which instilled in her a good work ethic. She was a hard worker all her life.

Grace was a homemaker and also worked at the former Ferguson & Hassler Grocery Store in Quarryville for over 40 years where she enjoyed meeting and talking with people. She retired from there at the age of 85. In addition, Grace enjoyed to crochet, Plastic Canvas, and sewing, and especially enjoyed making clothes for her daughter.

She was a very loving person; she dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved getting together with them. At night, Grace prayed for her grandchildren, great grandchildren, the close friends that she had talked to on the telephone during the day.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred (died in 2009), whom she dearly loved and missed after his death. She is survived by her daughter, Esther Herr Ruth (husband, Jeff); two grandchildren, Jason L. Ruth (wife, Lori), and David A. Ruth; two great-grandchildren, Tristan and Grace Ruth; her nephew, Paul C. Myers (wife, Linda) and their three children, Matthew, Kim, and Mary; her niece, Melissa Davis (husband, Tom) and their two children, Michael and Dakota.

A memorial service will be held at the Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren (1392 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville) with Pastor Kevin Richardson officiating.
