Gregory J Newswanger, 63, of Quarryville, passed away unexpectedly at this home. Born in Holtwood, PA, he was the son of the late Jay Newswanger and Sally Newswanger (Urey). A couple years after graduating from Solanco High School, Greg proudly served eight years in the United States Marine Core before being honorably discharged. Those who knew Greg, were often subject to his jovial personality and sense of humor. He loved to cook and was known for his seafood omelets. Greg enjoyed hanging out with friends and having a good time. He was an active member of the Ancient Order of Croaking Frogs and the Slumbering Groundhog Lodge, both of Quarryville, PA. He is survived by his daughter, Nicole Newswanger (Austin), brother, Gary Newswanger, (Melissa), sister Jaye Carson (Dain) and several extended family members. Services will be private. The family strongly requests no flowers, but rather that a donation be made to your favorite charity.
