Harold Oliver Cole, Sr. passed away May 27, 2024. He was the son of Donald and Lucinda Cole. He was widowed and left behind his 5 childen: Christine Witman (spouse William (Bill) Witman) of Allentown, PA; Harold (Cappy) Oliver Cole, Jr. of Middletown, PA- deceased; Lucinda (Lucy) Polston (spouse Kenneth (Max) Polston) of Graceville, FL; David Cole (spouse Jessica Cole); and James Cole of Middletown; 14 grandchilden; 1 deceased grandchild; 24 great grandchildren and 1 great great grand child.

Cap, as he was affectionately known, went to Middletown Area High School. He joined the Army National Guard and served his country during the Korean War. He worked many years for Armstong Carpet plant and then Bethlehem Steel Company and retired from there.

Cap had a zest for living life to the fullest. He did whatever he wanted to do and did not allow having lost his right arm and hand at the steel mill to damper that zest. He would try to do whatever he wanted to do. This included fishing when he could find the time or someone to go with him.

Cap loved his family. He had 2 brothers and a sister all preceding him in death. In his last years he enjoyed sitting around talking and drinking coffee; just visiting.

Harold will have a memorial service at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with military honors Monday, July 22, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. EST.
