Irene Flynn

Irene Flynn, 87, passed away peacefully at her Annville, PA home on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. She was born in Jersey City and spent many wonderful years raising her children in Secaucus NJ until she and her husband retired in Toms River NJ.

She began her career doing "key punch" for IBM, followed by 10 years at the Trust Co. Bank of NJ. Some of Irene's happiest memories included spending time with her family at the Jersey shore.

Irene was a strong and resilient women who faced life's challenges with courage. As a Cancer survivor she demonstrated strength and perseverance 

Irene is survived by her children, Richard and his wife, Basia; David and his wife, Melissa; and Derek; her eight grandchildren, Garrett and his wife Alexis, Ayden, Jake, Reagan, Jessie, Julia, Keaton and Hudson; as well as extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Edward Flynn, who died in 2021, she is preceded in death by her parents Robert & Grace Meara of Jersey City NJ.

A private burial service will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Toms River, NJ at a later date.
