Jairo Zapata, 74, passed away at his Lancaster city residence on February 24, 2026. He was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed watching educational documentaries.

He is survived by his children Stella Zapata, Monica C. Zapata, Maria Zapata, and John Zapata; his grandchildren Hitomi Angel Zapata, Laura V. Valentina Ramos Zapata, Juliana A. Ramos Zapata, and Mila Gonzales; his cousin Soraida Gomez; as well as many friends and extend family.

It is in this very difficult moment for our family to lose such a loved one that was a part of us. For his children and grandchildren, it has been a great pain that we will never be able to fully overcome as a family. We only ask God to give us all the strength in the world. We will love you forever.
