Janice Hartman

Janice Marie Hartman, 93, of Wernersville, passed away at Phoebe Berks Nursing on September 19, 2026. Born in Palmyra in 1932, to the late James K. and Esther (Hollingsworth) Bowman, she was the loving wife of Lloyd R. Hartman.

She was a graduate of Palmyra High School and worked as a sales associate/sales representative at Wiest’s Sporting Goods in West Reading for many years.

Outside of work, Janice enjoyed golf, skiing, and playing cards. Janice traveled extensively in her retirement years and dining out with her friends. Most importantly, she thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Mohnton.

In addition to her husband, Lloyd, she is survived by her daughter, Cathy L. Earhart; her grandchildren, Andrew J. Reber and Kathryn M. Mazurek, and the late Benjamin J. Reber; her great-grandchildren, Benjamin A. Reber, Jocelyn E. Reber, Julia P .Reber, Steven N. Mazurek, and Madalyn M. Mazurek; as well as extended family and many friends.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 11AM on October 1, 2026, and Phoebe Berks Nursing Home, Wernersville.
