Jeanne L. (Robinson) Rachor

On May 16, 2026, Jeanne finally found peace after a three-plus year war with cancer. She fought with strength, courage, positive outlook, and a smile that made those around her stronger. She also thought of others during her struggle by participating in several studies for cancer research. She said “even if it doesn’t help me, it may help others defeat this terrible disease.”

Jeanne was preceded in death by her father Jordan (“Skip”) Robinson. She is survived by her husband, Joe, of Lancaster; her mother Elizabeth (Betty) Robinson; sisters Barb (“Babs”) Seaber, wife of John, and Nancy Robinson, all of Mountville; along with several nieces and nephews from both sides of the family.

A graduate of Hempfield High School, Jeanne worked at the law firm of Barley Snyder in Lancaster for nearly 47 years. She began her career as a secretary and through hard work, dedication and smarts she ended her career as a paralegal. Many of her coworkers came to her for her knowledge and advice (especially her bosses).

She enjoyed going to the beach (but not the water) and the camping trips shared with her family in her “little house on wheels.” She also loved watching hummingbirds in the back yard, butterflies and sunflowers from which the joy she got from these will be the one missed the most. But her favorite times of all were the times she was able to spend with family and friends.

Jeanne was loved by all that knew her. Though she did not seek it, everyone seemed to gravitate towards her. She will be greatly missed by her husband, family, many friends and her two fur babies, Tanner and Rocky.

We, the immediate family, would like to thank Jeanne’s family and friends for all the love and support they provided throughout her ordeal. Special thanks go to her friends, Kathy and Lori, who helped in so many ways by providing rides to appointments, bringing food, and just providing love, compassion and comfort. Your friendship means so much to us.

Per Jeanne’s wishes there will not be a memorial service. A graveside service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations, can be made in Jeanne’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
