It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jennifer Spring Hough, beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, on June 20, 2024 at age 44 following a long illness. She was born on October 15, 1979, in Quarryville, PA.

After graduating in 1999 from Solanco High School, Jenny had a long tenure as a teacher's aide at various schools in southern Lancaster County. She treated each of her students as if they were her own children, going out of her way to make them feel special, listening to each one and making custom crafts for them each school year. Jenny made a lasting impact on all her students and often received drawings and notes from them.

Strong in her Christian faith, Jenny volunteered at Rawlinsville Christian Camp teaching arts and crafts and helped in her church's Sunday school classes. Despite her own anxieties in life, she never let internal struggles impact her caring and concern for the needs of others.

With a love for photography and the creative arts, Jenny was always interested in learning new skills. She was working towards earning her private pilot's license and was very proud of completing a solo flight.

Jenny was a wonderful sister who always looked out for her siblings and was there to listen or provide feedback. She is survived by her father Glenn Hough, mother Amy Smith, sisters Tanya Hough and Heather Heineking (Daniel), nieces Freja and Esmé, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her brother Glenn Michael Hough.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 14, 2024, 2 pm, at Union Presbyterian Church, Kirkwood, followed by light refreshments.
