Joan Louise “Meme” Starry, of Millersville, PA, passed away peacefully at home on September 18, 2025.

A hard worker with a generous heart, Joan spent much of her career as the food service manager at the SMAC and also worked at the Country Mill Inn, where her kindness and dedication touched both coworkers and customers alike.

Joan lived a full and vibrant life. She enjoyed the excitement of casinos, the joy of shopping, and the beauty of photography. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family and the companionship of her beloved dogs. She was also blessed with the friendship and care of her dear friend Linda, whose love and support were a true gift.

She will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and the unwavering love she shared with everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edgar G. Starry; her brother, Fred Kreiser; and her daughter, Rebekah Frick, wife of Kevin.

Joan is survived by her children: Kelly Principe, wife of Thomas; David Starry, husband of Annette; and Donald Starry, husband of Lisa. Her sisters: Jane, Cindy, and kathy; her sister-in-laws, Anita and Katysue. She was a proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren and leaves behind many great-grandchildren who will carry her love and spirit forward.

A private ceremony will be held at the convenience of the family.
