John E. Darrenkamp, 84, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. He was the companion of Elva Funck for over 30 years until her passing in 2008.

John retired from Raymark, Manheim after 34 years. Previously he worked at the Mount Joy Bulletin. After retirement, he worked for John Martin Painting and Maintenance.

Born on September 1st 1939 in Lancaster; he was the son of the late John M. & Doris Grove Darrenkamp. He is survived by his brother David of Mount Joy; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Three sisters; Lorraine Lutz, Sandra Malik-Ulrich and Abbie Darrenkamp preceeded him in death. John graduated Donegal High School in 1959 and served 2 years in the US Army. He enjoyed spending time at the family camp in juniata County.
