IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Wayne
Edward Mccorkle
February 26, 1965 – June 5, 2024
John passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 4:20 PM. He was 59 years old.
John was born in Coatesille and spent most of his life in Philadelphia, Chester, and Lancaster counties, and graduated from Henderson Senior High School, class of 1982. His hobbies included listening to music, talking about his family, practicing martial arts, playing pirates or dungeons and dragons, writing with trained penmanship, linguistics, and reading. He was incredibly informed in many topics, but enjoyed history the most. His many talents included painting murals of the civil war, oil painting, game design and story creation, playing the harmonica, the piano, and the guitar. When he was found, very little would be discovered in his possessions as he was a simple man, but you'd always find art tools regardless.
Those that knew John, knew he was always there with a listening ear, a great story from his youth and his US Army service, or a small piece of advice when needed. His friends would tell you that he was always there to give what he could, and that the respect they held for him matched no other. "He was a great man."
He is survived by his 4 children: Jesse, Tiffanie, Victoria, and Ethan. He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren. John always felt that his children were his greatest achievements in life.
He will be missed greatly - but as he used to enjoy saying, "It can't rain all the time."
