Joyce Marie (Wrana) Sweet, 63, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, surrounded by love. Born March 30, 1962, in Schenectady, NY, Joyce moved through this life with a spirit that was both tender and resilient, always finding pockets of light even in the shadows.

Though her path carried many challenges, Joyce remained a vibrant presence everywhere she went. She carried a naturally positive energy, a brightness that lifted the hearts of those around her. She had an easy smile, a caring heart, and a way of seeing the world with innocence and grace. People who came into contact with her were continually moved by her kindness, her humor, and the way she never let her burdens spill onto anyone else.

Joyce found joy in simple, sacred things, especially music and dancing. These moments of movement and melody were where her spirit felt most free, where her soul seemed to remember its own rhythm. Those who witnessed her light up at a familiar song or boogie to a tune will forever hold those memories close, knowing they were glimpses of her truest self.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Joy Sweet of Ridgway, Pa, who loved her deeply and stood by her with unwavering devotion, and by her husband, Michael Sweet of Cohoes, NY, who carries her memory with love. She is also remembered by extended family and by the many souls whose lives she brightened just by being herself.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Abbeyville for their gentleness, patience, and love. They cared for Joyce with dignity and compassion, and they grieved her passing alongside her family.

A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her spirit, her laughter, and the love she leaves behind.
