Kenneth L. "Smitty" Smith, 82, of Manheim passed away peacefully on Friday, January 5, 2024, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center, in the presence of his family.

His life began in Manheim on February 3, 1941; the son of Clarence and Arlene (Adams) Smith.

He served his country by joining the Army from 1958-1961. Kenneth worked for Hershey Equipment Company for over thirty years. When he wasn't working, Kenneth enjoyed going to Rehoboth Beach in Delaware and eating the fresh seafood. He especially enjoyed crab and lobster.  His greatest pastime was watching Nascar racing.

Kenneth will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara (Hehnly) Smith; one daughter, Tina Smith of St. Augustine, FL; one grandson Aaron Brubaker (Laura Kiskaddon) of Mount Joy, and a great-granddaughter, Ella.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends will gather at Memory Gardens, 319 Wabash Rd, Ephrata, PA 17522, on Monday, January 15, 2024, at 1 PM .
