IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda Ann
Whiteford
October 25, 1952 – July 7, 2024
Linda Ann Whiteford, 72, of Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, passed away on July 7, 2024, at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy.
Linda was born in Lancaster County on October 25, 1952, and is the daughter of Helen Z. Fansler and the late William Allen (Bill) Fansler Sr.
Linda's passion was nursing, and she earned her BSN of Nursing from St. Saint Joseph's University. She spent her career as a nurse for 25 years, where she made a lasting impact on her patients and colleagues alike. Linda had a natural ability to connect with people and always put her patients' needs first. She loved hearing about their life stories and was known for going above and beyond to make sure they felt cared for and supported.
Linda was a dedicated mother who loved her children and her beloved canine companion, Harper. She was an avid reader and loved doing puzzles. She loved the outdoors, traveling, camping and especially spending time in her garden. She was loved dearly by her family and will be remembered as someone who always had a kind word to say.
She is survived by her four children; daughter, Mary L. Blake of Marietta and her husband Matthew, daughter Susan M. Enlow of Lancaster, son Robert W. Whiteford of York and his wife Angela, and son Paul (Tony) A. Whiteford of New Oxford and his wife Jackie. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Zachary Whiteford, Garrett Blake, Gabrielle Blake, Charleigh Enlow and Zayn Whiteford; as well as her four siblings; Barbara (Everette) Gardner of Mount Solon, VA, Diane (Danny) Neff of Airville, Joanne (Joel) Miller of Thomasville, and William (Shaila) Fansler, Jr., of Dallas, TX, and their many children and grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Linda to Hospice & Community Care 4075 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mount Joy, PA 17552.
