With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved Mother and Grandmother, Maria Skabo, who peacefully departed this life.

Born on July 8, 1944, in Budapest Hungary, Maria lived a life filled with love, strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family.

She was the heart of her home and a source of comfort, wisdom, and encouragement to everyone who knew her. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and generous heart left a lasting impression on all whose lives she touched.

She was a professional Interior Designer who loved gardening.

She found great joy in spending time with her family, celebrating life's milestones, and creating cherished memories with her children, grandchildren, and loved ones. Whether through her caring words, delicious home-cooked meals, or quiet acts of generosity, she made everyone feel welcome, valued, and deeply loved.

Maria will be remembered not only for what she did, but for who she was—a woman of resilience, compassion, and faith in the universe. Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled, the traditions she passed down, and the unconditional love she shared so freely.

Maria is survived by her children, Erica Hannan, Christopher Skabo, and Heidi Maddocks; her grandchildren, Justine Chan Chow, Lizzy Hannan, Jillian Leutner, Cole Skabo, Cameron Skabo, and Lissi Maddocks, William Maddocks, Sebastian Maddocks, and Christian Maddocks; her great-grandchildren, Anika Chan Chow, Blake Chan Chow, and Sienna Leutner; as well as numerous brothers and sisters and extended family.

Services may be held at a later date, at the discretion and convenience of the family.
