Matthew E. Brock

Matthew Earl Brock, 49, of Columbia, passed away at Penn State Lancaster Medical Center on November 4, 2026. Born in Columbia in 1977, he was the son of George and Shirley (Strubel) Brock, and was a graduate of Hempfield High School.

He worked for That Fish Place / That Pet Place and attended Kinderhook Evangelical Congregational Church in Columbia.

Outside of work, he enjoyed watching WWE Professional wrestling, monster trucks and big rigs, and listening to heavy metal music such as Slipnot. He also enjoyed playing his Play Station.

Matthew loved his mother, Shirley, very much and always took care of her.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley (Strubel) Brock; his uncles, Donald C. Kissinger and Randal S. Kissinger; his cousins, Andrea Rutledge, Erin Williams, Shane Kissinger, Austin Kissinger, Victoria Kissinger; as well as extended family and friends.
