Michael Allen Mentzer

Michael Allen Mentzer, 65, of Pequea passed away at his home on August 30, 2026 after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Pequea to the late William F. Mentzer and Verna L. (Benfer) Mentzer. He was the long time companion of Diane J. Shenk.

Mike was a proud 4-year veteran of the United States Navy where he served as a boiler mechanic. He then spent 38 years in HVAC industry.

Mike had a wonderful sense of humor and a huge personality. He enjoyed boating on the river, cooking, playing the guitar, and going on road trips with Diane.

In addition to Diane, he is survived by his daughter, Selina Mentzer, (spouse of Cameron Colvin) of Lancaster; his son, Jeremy Mentzer, of Pequea; his grandson, Cameron Colvin Jr, of Lancaster; his brother, Robert A Mentzer, of Florida; as well as extended family and friends.

As per his wishes, Mike will be cremated and not buried. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
