Patricia Joanne Davis, age 85, of Middletown, PA passed away at Penn State Hershey Medical Center on July 13, 2025. Raised in Bainbridge, PA along the Susquehanna with a multitude of extended family, Patty was the daughter of the late Grant and Theresa (Ely) Davis, sister to the late Diane Davis and mother to the late Jay Edward Stauffer, Jr.

She is survived by three children:  Neil Stauffer (husband of Tammy), Karen Trader, Bret Stauffer, her devoted caregiver with whom she resided, also sister Carolyn Potter and brother Grant Davis. Patricia was an involved and proud parent, supporting her children and their endeavors from fishing to football and figures skating, as she was employed in administration settings.

Patty enjoyed travel, especially days at a beach. She was delighted to visit her eldest grandson Jason Stauffer (husband of Milana) in Myrtle Beach. She waded a frigid Atlantic shore in the west of Ireland because she could. An enthusiastic fan of music, she attended live performances of a vast variety; Frank Sinatra, jazz nights at the Quality Inn, once working security for a Rolling Stones concert, accompanied her kids to some major headbangers, toe tapping sets at the Celtic Fling Weekend in Manheim. Patty was thoughtful and generous; in recent years she crafted greeting cards- Recycled Hearts- and collecting donations for Ronald McDonald House and senior living facilities.

Her grandson, Deacon, would joyfully accompany her to the "everything store" for thrifted treasures. Patricia shared a host of interests with her granddaughter, Charlotte Layman. An avid reader, Patty loved a good biography.
