Patsy R. Whigham, 90, of Lancaster, died peacefully Friday, December 9, 2022, in the comfort of her family's presence. Her life began May, 28, 1932 in Norwood, NC. Patsy will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Cathey (Joe) Hargrove; her son, Randy Furr; her stepson, John (Virginia) Whigham; her stepdaughter, Deborah (Gary) Whigham; seven grandchildren, Joey (Christal) Hargrove, Jason Hargrove, Jessica Furr, Randy A. Furr, Wayne (Paula) Furr, Melissa Furr Hamrick and Zoe Whigham. She also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, a special "daughter-in-law" Celine, son-in-law, Jim Greene; special friends and caring angels, Emily, Chris, Phyliss and Renee. She was preceded in death by Biddle Whigham; one son, Aubrey Furr and one daughter, Kelly Greene. A very heartfelt thank you to the special doctors and nurses on the fifth and eighth floors of Lancaster General Hospital during Mom's stay. A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the sun. The good life I lived While I was strong. Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life, don't worry about falls. I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin. Until the day comes, we're together again.
