Peter Iwan Dumczyk, 75, of Lancaster, died peacefully on Sunday, August 6. 2023, in the comfort of his family's presence.

His life began October 13, 1947, in Hamburg, Germany, one of three children born to Iwan and Anna (Maksimov) Dumczyk.

Peter was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. He loved music, especially folk as well as rock and roll, reading science fiction and Wasa his Husky as well as his former pets Max, Beau and Hagar.  Most of all, Peter cherished spending time with his family whom he celebrated all the Russian holidays with.

He worked for Host Farm Resort as a food and beverage manager and as a bartender at Brendee's Irish Pub.

Peter will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Rebecca Dumczyk of York; his nephews Nikolas Dumczyk and Michael Dumczyk and one niece, Anastasia D. Jones all of York.  He also leaves behind one great nephew, Soul and a great niece, Sonya.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Nina Belmonte and his brother, Andrej Dumczyk.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in Peter's name to your local SPCA.

A celebration of life to honor Peter is planned for Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Samuel Lewis State Park, located at 6000 Mount Pisgah Road, York, PA. The celebration will begin at 1:00 with all friends and family welcome.
