Richard N. Fetrow , 58, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at his residence, on March 19, 2026. Born in Hanover to the late Jesse and Rose (Warrick) Fetrow-Hippensteel, he was the loving husband of Jessica (Frye) Fetrow.

Richard was a 1987 graduate of Hanover High School at which he competed as a wrestler and a running back for the Nighthawks. Throughout his career, Richard had various jobs including delivering newspapers with his dad, South PA Press, Case Farm Hatchery, GDC Keystone, R.H. Shepherd, Littlestown Foundry, and most recently with Pero Family Farms.

Richard was a member of York Springs Bible Church where he sang on the Worship Team twice a month, co-led as a youth group leader for 6th and 7th grade, and assisted the Youth Worship Team when needed. In addition, he was an AWANA Team Member and an Operation Christmas Child volunteer.

He loved playing sports with his children & nephews and the children and youth at church. He was super competitive with the adults too. He loved going to Lincoln Speedway to watch the sprint car races and cheer on our family. He was a lifetime O's fan and it was Birdland all the way for him with being a Ravens fan as well. He loved to fish and hunt, but just to be closer to God and His creation.

In addition to his wife, Jessica, Richard is survived by his mother, Rose Hippensteel; his son, RJ Fetrow; his daughters Dicie Fetrow and Jessica (wife of Jim) Fair; two grandchildren, EJ and Bella Fair; father-in-law, Royce Bacon; as well as extended church family and many friends.

At his wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

There will be a simple service held at York Springs Bible Church, on April 7th, at 6:30 pm.
