Richard H. Fogarty

Richard H. Fogarty, 79, of Elizabethtown, passed away at Masonic Village, where he lived for the past 11 years, on June 15, 2026. Born in Philadelphia to the late John J. and Anna Mary (Troupe) Fogarty, he was the husband of Barbara (Bennison) with whom he married on April 29, 1967.

Richard was a proud veteran of the US Navy, serving six years (1967-1973) and was honorably discharged as a 3rd Class Petty Officer CTM.

He worked for Texas Instruments for 20 years and Hewlett Packard for 10 years, retiring in 2002.

He was a member of Robert Burns Lodge #464 and served as the Master of the Lodge in 2013. He was also a member of Scottish Rite and Consistory of the Valley of Harrisburg Northern Masonic Jurisdiction. Outside of serving in the Masonic groups, Richard enjoyed working on computers and being a part of the Masonic Village HAM radio club (Call sign WA3JPX).

Richard was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Harrisburg for 38 years before becoming a member of Sell Chapel, Masonic Village.

In addition to his wife Barbara, he is survived by his daughters, Cynthia Zeidler (Joseph), Deanne Gray (John); three grandchildren, Alyssa Fogarty, Wyatt and Jesse Gray; three great grandchildren; his sister, Carol Light, (Robert) and Sister-in-law, Patricia Burris (Ronald); as well as extended family and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Charities, Elizabethtown, Pa.

A Memorial Service will be held at Sell Chapel, Masonic Village, Friday, July 17, 2026, with a visitation starting at 10AM, a Masonic Service beginning at 11AM, followed by Memorial Service.
