Richard Francis Malloy

Richard Francis Malloy, born April 12, 1959, in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, passed away on February 13, 2026.

Richard spent his career as an auto mechanic and dedicated his life to his trade. He took pride in working with his hands and was rarely idle. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and playing golf. He also enjoyed building model cars, box kites, and model rockets, hobbies that reflected his lifelong interest in craftsmanship and mechanics. He was a devoted fan of Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Eagles and Phillies.

He is survived by his seven children: Susan (Andrew), Lindsay (Scott), Richard (Ashley), Melissa (Derek), Kathleen (Zachary), Michael (Lauren), and Jessica (Damon); Deborah, the mother of his children; fourteen grandchildren; three sisters; and four brothers. He is also survived by his beloved cats, Tiger and Melody.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Malloy; his mother, M. Adele Malloy; his brother, John Malloy; and his sister, JoAnne Strickler.

A private gathering to honor Richard’s life will be planned at a later date, in accordance with his wishes to have his ashes spread in the Susquehanna River.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pennsylvania SPCA.
