Richard C. Schaeffer, 85, of Reading, passed away at Reading Hospital on January 19, 2026. Born in Reading to the late George and Elizabeth (Calvert) Schaeffer, he served as a parole officer in Berks County for many years. He was preceded in death by his late wife, Mary Louise (Maurer) Schaeffer. He was the last of his family.
