IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert W.
Buch
December 29, 1935 – January 28, 2024
Robert "Bob" Buch entered into rest peacefully at home on January 28, 2024. He suffered from Alzheimer's disease. He retired from Kerr Glass after years of employment as a setup man. He worked part time as a custodian at Hempfield High School until 2018. He also worked tirelessly for others, always lending a helping hand to those who needed it.
He served in the Army National Guard, where he used his mechanical skills. He took pride in his "rides", being a loyal Chevy man! He enjoyed working on cars, his garage is a testament!
As an avid (and excellent) dart shooter in his younger years, he belonged to the Moose Lodge, Active Club and Eight Ward Club where he was a member of shuffleboard teams.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Stephen Buch and Helen White Buch. He was baptized in the Lutheran church.
He was married 43 years to Hazel who dies in 2002. Donna Higginbothom shared life with him in the latter 23 years.
Surviving him are two daughters Barbara Buch,Debra Schaeffer (Rob) and one son James Duffey, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother Steven.
His caregiver, Cyndi Hager, will miss him tremendously as will all of his family.
No service is planned at this time. Please remember Bob by paying it forward or doing a random act of kindness
