Robert Scott Gerz, 70, of East Petersburg, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at UPMC, Lititz. Born in Lancaster County he was the son of the late Robert W. Gerz and Gloria Jean (Patterson) Gerz Knippenburg. He was the husband of Deborah Anne (Gaenzle) Gerz and they celebrated 50 years of marriage in May. Scott enjoyed birdwatching and feeding the birds in his backyard which is an approved Federal wildlife habitat. His special love was his two restored cars and his truck Pedro in which he enjoyed showing at car shows. He enjoyed spending time with his family and going on adventures with them. He is survived by his two sons, Brian Robert Gerz of Lancaster, Damon Scott Gerz Sr, husband of Loretta Lynn, of Landisville, his grandchildren Victoria Ivy Gerz, East Petersburg, and Damon Scott Gerz Jr, Landisville. Also, survived by his brother Jeffery K Gerz, husband of Paulette Gerz, Chillicothe, OH. Scott was preceded in death by his great grandson, Addison and his nephew Jeremy Gerz.
