Rodman Leon Cooper, Sr.

Rodman L. Cooper, Sr., 81, formerly of Elizabethtown, passed away at Spring Creek Nursing & Rehab in Harrisburg on May 28, 2026. Born in Peach Bottom in 1944 to the late Nelson C. and Ethel P. (Cooper) Cooper, he was the loving husband of Barabra Jean (Ebersole) Cooper with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.

He was employed by Zeager's sawmill for 25 years and later worked for Snavley's for another 12 years before retirement. He was also an avid birdwatcher. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Rodman Cooper, Jr. (Kelly) and Fred Cooper (Jen), both of Elizabethtown; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well extended family and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents and 11 siblings.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
