Obituary

Ronald “Ron” Lee Blauch , 85, of Lebanon, passed away at his residence on March 25, 2026. Born in Lebanon in 1940 to the late George and Pearl (Reed) Blauch, Ronald was the eldest of nine children.

Ron was the loving husband of Sally (Herndon) Blauch; they were married 62 years and were devoted to each other until the end. Sally provided him with dedicated, loving care in his final years that were marked by health challenges.

Ron loved his family and was never happier than when he was together with them. He adored his brothers and sisters and their families.

Ron cared deeply for the planet and had a strong sense of social justice. His quick wit was usually self-deprecating, and his encyclopedic knowledge of classic rock music was legendary.

Ron graduated from Lebanon High School in 1958 and was a proud veteran of the United States Navy having served his country honorably. He attended Corcoran School of Art in Washington, DC. This led Ron to a long and distinguished career with IBM, retiring in 1991, where he was a commercial artist providing creative graphical and artistic services for clients that included the United States Treasury and Major League Baseball.

He loved reading, drawing, and watching baseball – often wavering between cheering for the Yankees and for the Phillies. He especially cherished the trips to Cape Henlopen, DE and Sugarloaf Mt, MD.

In addition to his wife, Ron is survived by his son Daniel Blauch of Mechanicsville, VA; his daughter, Cassandra Loeb of Lebanon, PA; and grandchildren, Brianna Loeb, John Loeb, Julianne Blauch, and William Blauch.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
