Rose Lorraine Hendricks was born in Unionville, Pennsylvania on February 24, 1935 and died on January 3, 2026 at St. Martha’s Manor Nursing Home in Downingtown, PA. Rose passed away peacefully from complications of Dementia. Her parents were Vera and Antonio Mastrippolito. She attended Unionville High School.

In 1955, she married Theodore Richard Hendricks (Ted). They had four children, Rose Lorraine (Lori), Patricia Ann, Theodore Richard (Ricky), and Doris Marie. She had six grandchildren, Christopher Harold Reeser/ Thompson, Peter Lee Thompson, Bradford Mattheauw Hutchinson, Brianna Marie Hutchinson. Kira Hendricks and Stephanie Hendricks.

Rose worked at Pepperidge Farm and Lasko Fan Company. She loved being outside and took a job working for a landscape company some years later.

Rose loved her family. She gave generously to others, never wanting anything for herself. When her husband was ill and needed a kidney, she gave him one of her kidneys.

Rose had many hobbies. She loved quilting, appliqueing and crocheting. She loved being outside working in the garden or just pulling weeds. Another interest was canning the vegetables in her garden. One of her most delicious foods that she made well was pigs in a blanket.

To mourn her but also celebrate her life with memories are her daughters Rose (Lori) and husband Terry Thompson and Doris and husband Brad Hutchinson. Grandchildren and their families, Chris, Stacey and Caeden Thompson; Pete, Lindsey, Mason and Easton Thompson; Matt Hutchinson and Brianna Hutchinson. Also, nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors and all who loved Rose. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vera and Antonio Mastrippolito, husband Ted Hendricks, infant daughter, Patty Hendricks, and son, Ricky Hendricks, 3 sisters and 5 brothers.

Graveside Memorial to celebrate her life will be held at Hephzibah Baptist Church, 2237 Strasburg Road, East Fallowfield Twp., Pennsylvania on Monday, June 29, 2026. The family will have refreshments immediately following her Celebration of Life at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will go to Hephzibah Baptist Church.
