Ross Lee Barrington

Ross Lee Barrington passed away peacefully at his home on June 21, 2026, at the age of 74.

Ross was born on August 11, 1951, in Silver Spring, Maryland, while his parents, Herman Barrington and Eileen Boatz, were serving in the United States Marine Corps. He was raised by his step-father Gene Kimey and his mother in Texas and graduated from South Houston High School in 1969.

On April 16, 1977, Ross married the love of his life, Teri Linn Barrington. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. His career in software development brought the family to Phoenix, Arizona, where he became known for his intelligence, creativity, and strong work ethic.

Ross retired at the remarkable age of 49, embracing a life devoted to building cabins, enjoying the outdoors, and pursuing one of his greatest passions—chasing geese. Retirement allowed him to spend more time doing the things he loved and creating lasting memories with family and friends.

Ross is survived by his beloved wife, Teri Linn Barrington; his daughter, Erin Chaboya and her husband, Fred Chaboya; and his cherished grandchildren, Francesca, Savannah, Ava, and Francisco Chaboya. He also leaves behind his faithful companions, Darby and Jasper, who brought him comfort and joy. Ross is proceed in death by his parents, and his sisters Patricia Eileen Kimey and Valerie Ruth Young.

Ross will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, sharp mind, devotion to his family, and ability to find happiness in life's simple pleasures. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and unforgettable memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Phoenix, Arizona, in late August 2026. Additional details will be shared with family and friends as they become available.
