Russell "Russ" Harry Gibson, III

Russell “Russ” Harry Gibson, III, 69, of Lancaster, passed away at Lancaster General Hospital on July 23, 2026. Born in Middletown, NY to the late Russell H. and Bertha Gibson, he was the longtime companion of Ginny Deen.

He was employed by Genpak in Middletown, NY and most recently at Dart Container in Leola, PA.

Russ was a former member of many Lancaster County social clubs and donated to any charity he felt was worthy of a donation. He could never say no if he was able to help, yet the charity that meant the most to him was Shriners Children’s Hospital.

He enjoyed playing in dart leagues, bowling, and was a longtime New York Jets and Mets fan.

Russ had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with friends and family. He was always " the life of the party" and will be deeply missed.

In addition to Ginny, he is survived his brothers William “Bill” Gibson (husband of Bill Todd) and John (husband of Michelle); his nieces, Bianca Gibson, Olivia Gibson, and Ava Gibson; his nephews, Todd Gibson and Jacob Gibson; 7 great nieces and nephews; 4 great-great nieces and nephews; as well as extended family and many friends.

Russ would want any donations made in his name to be given to Shriners Children’s Hospital.
