It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we must recognize the passing of Ruth Ellen Komber, age 85, on Tuesday, January 28th. Born on May 12th 1939 in Lewisburg Pa. to Harry Valentine and Miriam Mable Gahler. The only daughter and the first of three children, she is proceeded in death by her parents, her younger brother Delbert Gahler and her husband of 55 years Ronald Komber Sr.

She is survived by her brother Larry Gahler and Caroline Trieber, her daughter Lorie Norwicz and husband Dave and her son Ronald Komber Jr; Granddaughter Samantha Komber, grandsons Michael Brown and wife Tammy, David Norwicz and wife Misty, and great grand daughters Harper and Dulaney Norwicz.

Ruth worked steady for 57 years from a dime store clerk as a teen to manufacturing administrative rolls with American Standard ,Crown Cork and Seal and Golden Ring Mall in Rosedale Maryland. She finished out her employment at a Hallmark Card store until her retirement. Ruth had an amazing work ethic and was always ready to help anyone in in need. She was strong willed and tenacious...a fighter when necessary. She was a good friend and a loving mother, sister and daughter with a no nonsense approach to life. She fought a valiant battle with the disease dementia that made her latter years a physical, emotional and mental challenge until her passing.

We pray that Ruth has found peace and rest in our Lord Jesus Christ and that she is free of all her Earthly bonds. May the Lord bless her and give her the eternal peace she so richly deserves. Amen.
