Obituary

Shirley Gordon, 91 of Nazareth formerly of Williams Twsp. passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023, surrounded by her family at Alexandria Manor under The Care Team (Hospice). Born September 26, 1931, in Easton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jennie (Crick) Wilson & Reginald M. Wilson, Sr. She was also predeceased by her husband, the late Harold H. Gordon, Sr. who passed in 2012. They were married 62 years. She was employed at Laneco, Inc. for 22 years. She was a member of St. John's UCC in Nazareth. PA previously transferring from St. John's UCC in Williams Twsp. where she was involved with the Soup Gang Club for many years, Secretary for Church Women's United & the Ambassador Club at the Chrin Community Center in Palmer Twsp. Shirley will always be remembered as a loving mom and nana to her loved ones. She will be remembered for her contagious smile, love and laughter and most of all her strong faith in the Lord. We want to thank Alexandria Manor of Nazareth for their excellent love, care and compassion for our mom. They all loved "Shirley Bird". Also, we are so grateful for the loving support The Care Team Hospice gave to Shirley and the family on her journey to heaven. Survivors are her children; Sons-Dennis (Dolores), Gary, Timothy (Katrina), Scott (Janet), and Harold, Jr. (Christine) Daughters – Gale (Bruce) and Kathy (Rocco); Sister – Deborah (Wilson) Kolb; 18 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 2-step grandchildren & 4 step-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and her friend Robert Powell of 8 years. In addition to her parents and husband Harold, Sr. Shirley was also predeceased by her son, Daniel Gordon, as well as her daughter-in-law Karen (Celia) Gordon, granddaughter-in-law Jessica (Pezzalano) Gordon, brother, Reginald M. Wilson, Jr. , brother-in-law, Robert Kolb, sister-in-law – Thelma (Erie) Wilson and nephew, Matthew Kolb. A calling hour will be held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am followed by a memorial service on Saturday, March 18 at St. John's UCC of Nazareth. Internment service will be held privately for family members after the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church at 183 S. Broad Street, Nazareth, Pa 18064 in Shirley's name.
