Wallace Richard Jones

Wallace R. Jones, 80, of Landisville, passed away at Penn State Lancaster Medical Center on October 7, 2026. Born in Greene County, PA in 1945, to the late Albert B. and Rose Marie (Piper) Jones, he was a 1964 graduate of Beth-Center High School and a proud veteran of the United States Navy, having served 1965 – 1969.

A landscaper by trade, Wallace loved animals and nature and was an avid Steeler fan. In his younger days, he loved playing guitar and spending time with his brothers. In his less active years, he enjoyed word puzzles and watching football.

Above all, he loved his children the most.

Wallace is survived by his son, Wallace Jones Jr, (husband of Valerie) of Pierson, FL; his three grandsons, Nichola and Zachary Jones, and Christian Lopez; his two brothers, Thomas Jones of Akron, OH, and Robert Jones, Marietta, PA; his two sisters, Yvonne E. Jones of Elizabethtown, PA, and Linda Sisler (wife of William) of Newburg, WVA; as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. He is also survived by his “best bud” and feline companion, Taz.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shelly Marie, and 6 siblings, Donald, Albert, and Charles, Shirley Goff, and Eleanor Puskar.

Interment will be at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at a later date.
